Program Description
The objective of our teacher training program is to provide candidates with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be successful international ESL/EFL trainers. This program, developed in Vancouver, Canada by ILSC’s Greystone College, is a comprehensive certificate which meets the criteria for internationally recognized teacher training programs.

Cambridge TKT* exam
Candidates will have the opportunity to prepare and take the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test during the TESOL program of study. Practice tests and special TKT workshops will be provided. Candidates will receive internationally recognized teaching certificates from Cambridge University.
Note: The exam is held 1 week after the completion of the program
Entry Requirements
- All candidates must demonstrate an advanced level of English as well as a good grasp of language awareness. Potential candidates can do an online exam or an interview at the center
- A university degree is recommended
- A preliminary grammar review quiz is mandatory for all candidates
Program Overview
Module A: Methodology for Teaching Speaking, Listening and Pronunciation (using songs and other material), Linguistics, Pedagogical Theory, Material Analysis and Development, and Classroom Management
Module B: Methodology for Teaching Grammar, Reading and Writing, Second Language Acquisition, Feedback and Error Correction, Intercultural Awareness, and Professional Conduct
Module C: Methodology for teaching Vocabulary and Integrated Skills, Lesson Planning, Curriculum Development, Testing, Evaluation and Assessment, and Teacher Discourse
Practicum
20 hours practicum includes classroom observations, peer teaching and supervised practicum.
